Monster World 2 Read online

I pulled up to Becka’s house and honked the horn. My 1972 Charger purred like a robotic lion as I waited, and I got a few looks from the neighbors. I hadn’t gone too crazy with the money I’d received from the sale of the diamonds from Tarth, but I’d splurged on this bad boy. The Charger was cherry red, with a thick white stripe down the middle, and driving it was pure bliss.

Becka emerged from her apartment, looking radiant in her yellow sundress. Red ringlets spilled over her shoulders, and her big green eyes sparkled when they met mine.

“You’re early,” she said as she approached, her full breasts jiggling pleasantly as she walked. “That’s a surprise.”

I opened the passenger door from the inside and pushed it open for her. “What’s more surprising is that you’re actually ready. I’d be waiting out here for fifteen minutes with most girls.”

“I’m not most girls.” Becka bent to get in, which gave me a front-row seat for the cleavage show.

“I’m sorry.” I shook my head like I’d just pulled myself out of a trance. “What did you just say?”

She laughed and slapped my arm. “You’re incorrigible.”

We’d been dating for a couple of weeks, and we’d already had sex about a dozen times. The girl was insatiable. She had a curvy but athletic body, big breasts that made me want to snuggle up to them and sleep like a baby, and looks that could kill. But the most erotic thing about her was her enthusiasm for roleplaying games, and I don’t mean Dungeons & Dragons.

I’d told her what happened to me on Tarth, but I hadn’t told her it was real, saying it was a story I was working on I was thinking of calling Monster World. She was intrigued, and that night she’d insisted I call her Eva. It was a little weird at first, but once she started talking like the princess and being all bossy and shit, I couldn’t help but get into it. Next she’d pretended she was Scarlett, which, given her red hair and general appearance, made it much more realistic. We’d screwed in every room of her apartment, and mine as well, and we’d even gotten medieval outfits to wear during our epic sex sessions.

“Where are you taking me this time?” she asked.

I revved the Charger and peeled out. “The best place in town, Romano’s Pizzeria.”

“Oh, the place where it all began.” She grabbed my belt buckle and started to unbuckle it. “Can we stay after-hours and fuck in the oven?”

“Whatever you want, babe.” I tried to keep my eyes on the road as she pulled my dick out. She teased it with her lips and breathed on it, and I gripped the steering wheel. There was a bump coming up, and I grinned. Becka continued to tease me, licking around the head and giggling mischievously. When the car drove over the bump, I hit the gas, forcing my cock down her throat.

She squealed, and I held her head down and floored it, laughing all the while.

“Oh god!” she said when she finally came up for breath. “You are so fucking hot!”

I pulled up at an intersection in the right lane and enjoyed the BJ while I waited for the green light. A little yellow convertible pulled up beside me, and I cursed under my breath when I recognized the driver as my economics professor from last semester.

“Evening, Mr. Carlson.” I offered him a nod.

Becka giggled to herself with me in her mouth, and it was damn near impossible to keep a straight face. I mean the dude was right there in the lane next to me!

“Evening, Jake.” He smiled, admiring my car over his thick rimmed glasses. “Where ya headed?”

“He said head,” Becka joked, pulling off my cock long enough to say it.

I looked at the red light, praying it would turn green. “Oh, just on a date.”

Becka slurped and gagged, and I coughed to cover it up. I fumbled for the radio, but Becka grabbed my hand and pressed it against her tit.

“Nice night for a date,” he noted and glanced up at the clear August sky. It was nearing the end of the month, but fall was still far from everyone’s thoughts.

“Sure is!” My voice went up into a shrill falsetto when Becka sucked one of my balls into her mouth.

He glanced at me and frowned.

  The light turned green.

“Well, have a good one, Jake,” he said.

Becka popped her head up and waved. “You too, Mr. Carlson!”

The look on the professor’s face made us burst out laughing.

“You’re too fun.” She hiked up her skirt and climbed onto my lap.

“And you’re nuts!” I laughed and tried to keep us on the road.

She slid me inside her and grabbed a handful of hair as I held onto the steering wheel for dear life and tried to see around her.

“I take that back,” I said as she gyrated. “You’re absolutely fucking cra—”

“Shut up and bite my nipples.” she ordered and pressed one of her beautiful pink nipples into my mouth.

The tires squealed as we pulled onto the freeway ramp. There wasn’t much traffic, just a few cars and a big rig. When I passed him with Becka riding me, he honked his horn three times and flashed his lights. She rode me like a mechanical bull riding champion as we flew down the freeway. I don’t know how fast I was going; I could barely see the road, but it was a hell of a rush.

We climaxed together as we swung around the exit for Lake George, and I lost control on the slick road. Becka screamed in ecstasy as we spun a 360. The world streaked by in a blur as I came insider her, screaming my head off with a mix of joy, passion, and terror. By some miracle the car came to a halt at the stop sign, and we laughed our asses off for a good two minutes.

I pulled into the parking lot of Romano’s with Becka still panting and laughing beside me. I hurriedly tucked myself back in and checked around to see if we had raised any suspicions.

Becka, on the other hand, seemed unconcerned; she was reapplying her makeup in the mirror with her tits still hanging out. “That was so fucking yummy.”

“I can’t believe we didn’t die.” I ran a hand through my hair and let out a steadying breath. My heart was still racing from the orgasmic, near-death experience.

Once we pulled ourselves together, we walked hand in hand into Ramono’s as the old man who ran the place was walking out.

“Hello, sir,” I said with a smile.

I may as well have been invisible. He locked eyes with my companion, held her in his wise gaze, and said, “You watch out with this one.” His eyes moved to me with disapproval, but then he smiled big. “He will cook so good for you, you’ll gain fifty pounds!”

She laughed, and the old man joined in. She had a way about her that brought out the best in people. Hell, since hooking up with her, I was working out on the regular—mostly because of the rigorous sex she put me through. I was eating better and drinking less. I’d pretty much gotten over the idea of returning to Tarth. No, scratch that. I still thought about Eva, Scarlett, and Doughboy every day, and I figured I would for a long time, but she made not being with them easier.

I waved to Kimberly when I walked in. We’d become pretty good friends since my return from Tarth, but we didn’t have the chemistry that lovers share. Besides, I’d been bummed out for about a month after coming home, even with the diamonds and newfound wealth, and I wasn’t looking for love. I was mourning the loss of it.

We sat at a table by the window. The wall above it had a really nice mural depicting the Italian countryside, with vineyards, orchards, and a house with the mother of the family calling everyone in from the garden.

“Hey, Jake!” It was Shellsea—yeah, spelled like it sounds. She was a young hippy girl with starter dreads, so the name was fitting.

“Hey ya, Shell. Can we get two waters, two landsharks, and a basket of garlic knots to start?”

  “Sure thing,
sweetie.” Shellsea was younger than me, but she was one of those women who insisted on calling everyone pet names.

“Now you’re ordering for me?” Becka cocked a brow.

“Yeah. You’re my bitch, you know, and a playa gotta take care of his bitches,” I replied nonchalantly and scoured the menu.

She slapped the menu, which hit me in the face.

“I’m kidding.” I pulled her in and kissed her on the lips.

Sweet… Doughboy’s voice came to mind, and I laughed even harder.

God, I missed that little face-eater.

“You’ve got that faraway look again,” she said after a moment.

  “Just thinking about Doughboy.”

  “Not Scarlett or Evangeline?”

  “No.”

“You act like you really miss them. You sure this is only book you’re working on? Or are you a crazy schizoid who sees people who aren’t there?”

“I never see people who aren’t there.” I glanced at the empty chair across from us and smiled. “Right, Bob?”

She looked at the chair, then at me, and laughed.

“Your drinks,” said Shellsea as she set them down.

I leaned in toward Becka and asked, “Do you see her too?”

She shook her head, acting freaked out. We glanced at Shellsea and chuckled.

“You guys are such a great couple that it kind of makes everyone around you want to puke.”

  “Thanks,” Becka replied.

  “We’ll have….” I glanced at my date.

“An extra-large New York-style cheese and Pep,” she finished for me.

“Coming right up.” Shellsea regarded us with a sick look. “Literally. Like my lunch. Like it’s right here in my throat, like I’m going to pu—”

“We get it, Shelly.” I laughed and waved her away.

She sobered and pointed at me. “Don’t ever call me Shelly. My mom called me Shelly once.” She moved closer, holding up one finger. “Once!”

Patrons regarded us, but when they saw our waitress laugh, they relaxed and returned to grazing on Romano’s finest.

“That’s a great movie. You and Cody still on for Geeks Who Drink tomorrow night?” Geeks Who Drink was a Denver company that hosted bar trivia games across the country.

“Yup, and we’re going to cream America Stands Alone Against the Metric System this time.”

“Now that I’m on your team, there’s no limit to what we can do,” I told her.

I’d met Becka through Shellsea at a local pub during the Geeks game, and we’d hit it off instantly.

“Tell me more about Doughboy,” she said after Shellsea left.

“I’ve told you the whole story.”

“Yeah, but what happens after that?”

“I don’t know,” I said. “They live happily ever after and all that jazz?”

“These days you have to do a sequel.” She bit a big piece off a garlic knot. “You can’t just leave readers hungry.”

“People are always hungry for more.”

  “So give it to them.”

“Who is them?” I spread my arms and looked around. “I haven’t even started writing the book yet.”

“You have to assume it’s going to do well.”

I sighed and sat back and took a long pull of beer. “If it happens, it happens. I can’t just make it up out of thin air. It has to—”

  “Happen again?” she said hopefully.

“It has to come to me,” I corrected.

“Hi, guys.” Kimberly appeared beside our table, and I hadn’t even seen her coming. No wonder I’d been taking a beating at the Taekwondo classes. I needed to get my head right. “Hey, Kim.”

  “Hi,” said Becka.

“You two still on for the cookout Friday night? Probably going to have a fire down by the lake too.”

  “Count us in,” I replied.

“I’ll bring a cucumber salad. It’s nice and light. Oh, and some painkillers,” said Becka.

  “What’s that?” Kim asked.

“A tropical drink I had in St. Croix. You’re going to love them.”

Our pizza came a few minutes later, and we dug in. I’d been hungry as hell before I picked her up, and after the little performance in the car, I was ravenous. We didn’t speak through the entire first slice, which was a testament to how comfortable we felt around each other.

“Do you still want to do it in the oven?” I asked.

“Oh hell yeah,” she said with a full mouth. She laughed musically, swallowed, and replied archly, “You shall ravish me in the royal oven, Baker!”

  Atta girl!

The last two weeks with her had helped me out of the dark hole I’d slipped into after my adventure. She’d tried to fill the void left behind, but the hole in my heart was as big as Tarth, and I knew it would never truly be filled.

  Not until I returned.

When the place closed down for the night, she and I stayed after hours to help the crew clean up. After most of the work was done and only lockup was left, I showed Shellsea my set of keys and winked.

She rolled her eyes and let us be.

I dimmed the lights and turned off the ones outside. When I turned from the dimmer switch, Becka was already naked. To my surprise and delight, she wore only a blonde wig and a tiara.

“Well hello, m’lady.” I offered her a tip of an imaginary hat.

“You shall address me as Princess Evangeline,” she said haughtily and tossed her hair, which made her cones jiggle.

  “As you wish, m’lady.”

“Take off your clothes and let your princess judge whether or not you are worthy.”

I complied, and ten seconds later I stood before her nude. She looked me up and down with contempt, but then she saw I was getting hard and grinned.

She grabbed my junk and gave it a squeeze. “I want to taste you, Baker. I want to feel you inside me, but I am betrothed to Lord Berdink and cannot jeopardize my chastity.”

I grabbed her by the arms and shook her like I was a dude from one of those black and white movies, trying to shake sense into a distraught damsel. “Fuck Lord Berdink. I love you and shall let no other man have you.”

“Oh my champion, take me, take me now!”

She leapt up, locked her legs around my waist, and wrapped her arms around my neck. I backed her up to the oven.

“Make love to me, Jake. Take me with you to Tarth!”

I eased her onto the edge of the big brick oven and slid my cock into her. She lay back so that half of her was inside the oven, and we fucked like animals for fifteen minutes. Soon her climactic moans echoed in the small space. I half expected the portal to open as we came together, but there were no lights, no strange voices chanting in a foreign language, and no flying-through-the-universe feeling.

We lay there afterward, with our legs dangling, and a feeling of regret washed over me. I was torn between this world and Tarth.

I was torn between three women.

“I’m here, Jake.” She raised her head and gazed into my soul. “I’m here. They’re not.”

“I love you.” I said it before I consciously decided to do so, and the reaction I received was mixed.

“It ain’t love. You’re in lust with me.” She said it in a forlorn way that left me confused, moved off me, and grabbed her dress.

“I wish Tarth was real, Jake, but I need to know that what we have…. “ She sighed. “I need to know it goes beyond roleplaying and great sex.”

“It’s only been a couple of weeks,” I said in my defense, but the words sounded cruel. They seemed to cheapen what we had, and I instantly regretted saying them.

“I’m sorry.” She pulled on her dress. “I shouldn’t have come down on you like that.” She caressed my cheek. “Damn it, Jake Baker, I think I might be in love with you. Real love.”

“Good,” I said and kissed her. “Then we understand each other.”

  “What does that even mean?”

  “It means I
m scared too, Becka. I’m fucking head over heels for you, and not because you remind me of Scarlet or dress up like Eva. Because you’re you. I’ve never met a woman so—”

She kissed me deeply, and when I trailed my fingertips up the side of her hip, she took in a passionate breath. “Don’t you break my heart, Jake Baker,” she said in such an innocent voice, it made my heart ache.

  “I won’t.”

She wiped her eyes with embarrassment and laughed weakly. “Look at me, I’m a blubbering mess. You must think I’m nuts.”

  “Yeah, a little,” I said, straight-faced.

“You dick!” She laughed and pushed me away.

“I gotta take a piss, but you better be ready when I get back.”

  “Ready for what?”

“Some more of this,” I said as I spun my semi-hard dick like a helicopter blade.

I left her giggling behind me and did a little naked dance to the bathroom. When I opened the door, I fell into a wormhole.

  “Oh shiiit!”

I sped through the wormhole, holding my family jewels. I might as well have been holding onto stardust, because that’s how I felt. Planets, stars, and galaxies sped by, and soon I was veering toward a familiar blue ball.

I hit the ground at about a million miles an hour and in a billion particles, then I suddenly snapped back to form, standing with my dick in my hand like I was about to take a piss.

Goddess Celesta stood before me with a cocked brow, looking amused.

I put my hands on my hips, looking as serious as a naked person can.

“It’s a good look for you,” she said with a grin.

I surveyed my surroundings. I was in a meadow bordered by a forest of birches. Far away was a hill upon which sat a three-story tower that looked like it was part of a church.

“You couldn’t have summoned me five minutes ago?” I was angry. It would have been awesome to bring Becka with me.

“What was happening five minutes ago?” she asked with a knowing glance at my nakedness.

“I was having great sex with a great chick in the oven that you originally pulled me through.”

“You were having sex in an oven?”

“Yeah, you know, in case you summoned me again.”

“Dear, simple Baker, the oven had nothing to do with the portal I created.”
